Most Yealink phone models have a column of buttons on the right side of the phone that, by default, don't do anything. These can be reprogrammed manually by following the steps outlined below.

1. Identify your phone's IP address. This can be done by pressing the 'Menu' soft button, and then selecting 'Status'. The first thing that you'll see on the Status menu is the IP address.

2. Navigate to your phone's IP address in your web browser. When prompted for a log in, enter 'admin' as both the user name and the password. If you can't get this far, double check that you entered the IP address correctly and that the computer and phone are on the same local network. Once you're logged in, you'll see something like this:

3. Select the 'Phone Tab', followed by the 'DSS Keys' option.

4. The 'DSS Keys' are shown here, and changing each of these will change the respective button on your phone. For instance, DSS Key 1 will change the top-right button on your phone, DSS Key 2 will change the next one down and so on. To set a button to dial a specific extension, set the 'type' to Speed Dial with the 'value' as the desired extension, like this:

5. Once you've made the desired changes, don't forget to click on 'Confirm' at the bottom of the screen to save your changes.
